Duty to Inform

Safety is everyone’s responsibility and it is the responsibility of the employer (Hanover School Division) to keep employees informed about the division’s safety program.

As a responsible educator and employer, Hanover School Division is committed to maintain all facilities as safe and healthy places of employment and learning for all students, staff, and visitors.

Our goal is to operate all facilities in compliance with provincial health and safety regulations, which will mean making sure that all employees are aware of the divisional WSH program and the roles and responsibilities the WSH Act has outlined for the employer and its employees.

A series of informational PowerPoint presentations have been created to help school administrators (the employer’s representative) inform employees (teachers and EA’s) under their supervision, of everyone’s rights and responsibilities regarding health and safety.
